11/09/17. Brad Ashby Memorial Lecture. Lectured to BENHS/LNHS at Hyde Park, London. ‘The ant farmers of Richmond Park. What five months of Citizen Science reveal about the growth and inhabitants of ant-hills”.

23/09/17. Friends of Richmond Park. Lecture on ‘The ant farmers of Richmond Park. What Citizen Science reveals about ant-hills.’ Followed by a two-hour demonstration walk.

14/11/2017. Lectured to Woodstock Natural History Society on “Ants, Ant Intelligence and the value of ant-hills in Nature Conservation”.

12/02/18. Lectured to West Oxford University of the Third Age. “Ants, Ant Intelligence, and Ant-Hills”.

12/03/18. Lecture to Wytham group at Oxford University Plant Sciences. ‘Ecological engineering in the Wytham grasslands: go to the yellow ant, and be wise’.

5/06/18. Webinair for Natural England on 5 June on: “As old as the Hills: Ants, Grassland and Engineers”.

28/06/18. AGM of the Friends of Barnes Common, Barnes, London. Lectured on: “What the Ant-Hills of Richmond Park suggest about the relationships between species on Barnes Common”.

August 2018. Briefing Lecture to Citizen Scientists in Bushy Park on: Yellow Meadow Ant colonies and their Importance to grasslands” followed by four successive afternoons of sampling ant-hills with them in Bushy Park.

September 2018. Wrote and published leaflet about the front gardens of the North Oxford Victorian suburb, distributed to 2,500 houses (St Margaret’s Area Society).

12/07/18. Demonstrated to OPT Land Committee during field trip, ‘Progress’ to Harcourt Hill and Hinksey Meadow.

10/06/19. Lectured to Bournemouth University Students on: “Yellow Meadow Ant colonies and their importance in grasslands” followed by a day of sampling at Hengistbury Head, Christchurch.

June - July 2019. Botanical surveying of 12 sits for the Oxford Preservation Trust in order to establish suitability for Higher Level Support from DEFRA.

Advice on script for appearance on the ‘One Show’ with George McGavin on ants on the Porton Ranges. One day filming (06/07/12)  Four minute programme shown on BBC1 on 24 September 2012.
